RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park, July 2006

The Bronze medal-winning Nectar Garden was designed to attract butterflies, moths and other insects into the garden to feed.  It was based on the book about butterfly gardening by the eminent naturalist and gardener, the late Dame Miriam Rothschild and as a tribute to her as a former Vice President of Butterfly Conservation.

The garden comprised of a wildflower meadow, bordered by a gravel path, beds of mixed planting of nectar-rich and caterpillar food plants and a small decked area for seating.

The garden, designed by Neil Savage, was built in collaboration with The David Lewis National Epilepsy Centre.
